We Describe More About the Homeland Security Grants Known as the AFG Fire Grants
Firefighters deserve the best equipment that is available to assist them in their hardest of hard jobs, and to keep them safe and healthy. You know it, we know it and the Federal Government knows it.
The Homeland Security Grants / AFG Fire Grants program was started in 2001 under direction of the Department of Homeland Security as part of the FEMA Grants programs, and with the cooperation of the U.S. Fire Administration.
Each year the U.S. Department of Homeland Security grants millions of dollars in funding to Fire Departments, and EMS Departments throughout the United States.
One objective of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program is to help protect emergency personnel from the hazards of their jobs. We will describe some of these hazards as we publish more posts on this Blog and we will explain much more about this program.
In an ongoing series of articles here on www.AFGgrants.com we are bringing you the latest news and updates on these programs and provide information on how to apply for grants and where to learn more about these grants.
There will be an information workshop for applicants near you from a continuous series of two hour fact filled programs and we give you particulars on those meetings and how to obtain more information to assist you with getting your fair share of this federal grant money.
Feel free to contact us directly for personal assistance as we are in the process of bringing you this information here on this website.
You are also welcome to ask questions and post comments under each of these Blog posts.
